The Method
WRITE (or draw) - REVIEW - INDEX
Introduction
If you research journal writing on the internet, you will find a multitude of articles about the benefits of writing. There are also a multitude of different types of available books. With a variety of price ranges.
The Right Journal Project's Journal books are for:
ANYONE
Anyone who keeps notes, anyone who is working something out, anyone who dreams, anyone who designs, anyone who draws, anyone who makes poetry, anyone who makes songs and on and on and on. It is for "creatives" and
WE ARE ALL CREATIVES (whether or not we believe that about ourselves).
They are purposely inexpensive to be unintimidating and to encourage use (without fear or self-criticism).

There is just one rule to remember:
THERE ARE NO RULES, IF IT WORKS FOR YOU, IT IS RIGHT!
If it doesn't work for you, try it in another way.

HOW TO USE
The Journal books are designed to facilitate my original method of keeping a journal or notebook:
Write, (or draw) - review - index.
The left side of a page is for entries, write for as much or as little as you like, make lists, make plans, write about feelings, scratch things out, whatever. (remember the rule!). I do suggest, however that you date your entries. After 6 writing sessions, review. Make notes or comments on the right side of the page. If in your review, (which is self- prompting) you find something you would like to remember or reference, highlight it, enter the page number and the gist of the idea on the index page in the back.
That's it!
